Last weekend the St. Peter Chapter worked on cleaning up the fence line at the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth Convent in Grand Prairie. The Kephans braved massive thorn trees and a lack of chain saw to get a good length of fence cleaned. Along the way, they got a chance to pray together, study apologetics, and even record a radio spot for the Chastity Retreat.

In January, Kepha volunteered at Birth Choice’s Hope for the World fundraiser. The event is the crisis pregnancy center’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and this year they had as guest speaker Raymond Cardinal Burke, then Patron of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta.
Members of the St. Peter Chapter assisted with setup for the dinner, ran check-in for benefactors, and helped in other odd jobs throughout the night. The greatest benefit for the Kephans was to listen to Cardinal Burke, one of the world’s foremost authorities on Canon Law and an outspoken defender of the sanctity of marriage, of the family, and of life.
The Kephans also got to spend some time with some of the Dallas seminarians who were able to make it for the event. It is always a great encouragement to see strong young men giving up their lives to the service of God.
Kepha is rolling into high gear to prepare for the Chastity Retreat this month. You don’t want to miss it!
The St. Peter Chapter will be doing yard work for the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in Grand Prairie on the morning of Saturday, February 25. In addition to yard work we will do our usual morning prayers and rosary together.
Please contact us if you are interested in coming.
Last month, four Kephans volunteered at Birth Choice Dallas for the St. Peter Chapter monthly work day. The Kephans cleaned the facility, prayed morning prayers in the chapel, and prayed a rosary outside the abortion center next door.
