The main event of the Kepha year!  The annual Chastity Retreat in 2017 will be held at the Holy Family of Nazareth convent in Grand Prairie, TX.

Everyone is called to live the virtue of chastity; however, in our modern culture, chastity is possibly the least known, least understood, and least practiced of the virtues.  Chastity is painted as old-fashioned by the world, and even those who desire to live it are confused by what constitutes this virtue.  Join us as we learn about chastity, what it means and how we live it in our lives.

This retreat is appropriate for all ages, since there will be two sets of talks: one for the younger participants, and one for teens and adults.

The title of this year’s Chastity Retreat is “Noble Purpose,” from the book of Tobit (8:2-3).  Our guest speaker will be Joe McClane, who is the General Manger of KSHJ 1430 AM Catholic radio in Houston, and talk show host of “Evangelium Live” on the Guadalupe Radio Network.  More about him can be found at his website, joemcclane.com.

Kepha invites fathers and sons (and really men of any age) to join us on this retreat for Mass, prayers, food, talks, mortification, games, nursing home visit, and 2am Yawns! And of course … Dodgeball.

Gather will be from 4pm-5pm on Friday.  The retreat will begin at 5 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017, and continue until noon, Sunday, March 26, 2017.

The cost is $45 per person, $150 max per family.

Cleaning the Fence Line at Holy Family Convent

Cleaning the Fence Line at Holy Family Convent

Last weekend the St. Peter Chapter worked on cleaning up the fence line at the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth Convent in Grand Prairie.  The Kephans braved massive thorn trees and a lack of chain saw to get a good length of fence cleaned.  Along the way, they got a chance to pray together, study apologetics, and even record a radio spot for the Chastity Retreat.

Remember that the Chastity Retreat is only a few weeks away, and will be at the Holy Family Convent.  Sign up now!

Volunteering for Birth Choice and Cardinal Burke

Volunteering for Birth Choice and Cardinal Burke

In January, Kepha volunteered at Birth Choice’s Hope for the World fundraiser.  The event is the crisis pregnancy center’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and this year they had as guest speaker Raymond Cardinal Burke, then Patron of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta.

Members of the St. Peter Chapter assisted with setup for the dinner, ran check-in for benefactors, and helped in other odd jobs throughout the night.  The greatest benefit for the Kephans was to listen to Cardinal Burke, one of the world’s foremost authorities on Canon Law and an outspoken defender of the sanctity of marriage, of the family, and of life.

The Kephans also got to spend some time with some of the Dallas seminarians who were able to make it for the event.  It is always a great encouragement to see strong young men giving up their lives to the service of God.

Kepha is rolling into high gear to prepare for the Chastity Retreat this month.  You don’t want to miss it!

Kepha has a Logo!

Kepha has a Logo!

Kepha, the Brotherhood of the Iron Will, now has a logo that communicates its mission.  Boys need to see men being men, practicing their Faith, and for that matter guys in general need to see their elders and peers living the Gospel.  Thus, our logo has the Iron Will Cross which Kepha members wear, with a smaller cross on top of it, symbolizing the younger members being formed and striving to follow in the footsteps of the older members.

All our social media and email accounts are now emblazoned with our new logo, and we will begin rolling out new media with the logo on it in the coming weeks.

Remember to check out our upcoming annual Chastity Retreat!
