Cleaning the Fence Line at Holy Family Convent

Cleaning the Fence Line at Holy Family Convent

Last weekend the St. Peter Chapter worked on cleaning up the fence line at the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth Convent in Grand Prairie.  The Kephans braved massive thorn trees and a lack of chain saw to get a good length of fence cleaned.  Along the way, they got a chance to pray together, study apologetics, and even record a radio spot for the Chastity Retreat.

Remember that the Chastity Retreat is only a few weeks away, and will be at the Holy Family Convent.  Sign up now!

Volunteering for Birth Choice and Cardinal Burke

Volunteering for Birth Choice and Cardinal Burke

In January, Kepha volunteered at Birth Choice’s Hope for the World fundraiser.  The event is the crisis pregnancy center’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and this year they had as guest speaker Raymond Cardinal Burke, then Patron of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta.

Members of the St. Peter Chapter assisted with setup for the dinner, ran check-in for benefactors, and helped in other odd jobs throughout the night.  The greatest benefit for the Kephans was to listen to Cardinal Burke, one of the world’s foremost authorities on Canon Law and an outspoken defender of the sanctity of marriage, of the family, and of life.

The Kephans also got to spend some time with some of the Dallas seminarians who were able to make it for the event.  It is always a great encouragement to see strong young men giving up their lives to the service of God.

Kepha is rolling into high gear to prepare for the Chastity Retreat this month.  You don’t want to miss it!

Praying at Planned Parenthood

Praying at Planned Parenthood

The Kephans of the St. Peter Chapter joined the Plano Prayer Vigil outside of the Planned Parenthood in Plano, TX, on Saturday, January 14th.  The Brotherhood of the Iron Will couldn’t make it to the March for Life in Dallas, so instead they decided to pray at this Planned Parenthood.

The folks in the Plano Prayer Vigil are outside the Planned Parenthood every Saturday from 9am to 1pm.  We are very grateful that we have these spiritual warriors at prayer every week, braving whatever weather and the security guard hired by the abortionists.

Helping out at Birth Choice

Helping out at Birth Choice

The St. Peter Chapter volunteered at Birth Choice this past Saturday.  The three Kephans vacuumed and cleaned bathrooms, organized the back room (not as much work as last time), and helped with various odd jobs.  In between they prayed Lauds, morning prayers, and a rosary.

Kephans weed and paint benches at St Mark’s

Kephans weed and paint benches at St Mark’s

PLANO, TX – On the last work day before the first retreat in years, the Kephans of the St Peter Chapter tidied up the area around the St Mark Columbarium.

The guys spent about 45 minutes weeding the beds in front of the Columbarium.  The rest of the morning was spent sanding and painting two benches in front of Our Lady of Fatima (it was agreed that painting the benches purple would not be in good taste).

Next month Kepha will hold a retreat at St Mark in Plano.  Make sure to register here!
